Nigerian actor, Yul Edochie, has stated that there are no village people holding Nigerians back.
He shared this opinion in a Facebook post, encouraging Nigerians to stop believing that village people are the reason they are not progressing.
According to him, Nigerians are the ones limiting themselves, as the so-called village people are also focused on advancing their own lives.
Yul also mentioned that the church doesn’t solve everything and encouraged people to visit their villages to better understand their roots. He wrote, “Nobody hold you for village. Village people don’t even have your time. They’re busy trying to make headway in their own lives. Na you hold yourself. Go home, go traditional and ask questions about your life. Know who you are, where you come from and where you should be heading to. Church doesn’t solve everything.”
His remarks have sparked debates online, with many people disagreeing with the actor and pastor.
