Nigerian rapper YCee has made a public appeal to the government to consider banning the use of point-of-sale (POS) machines after experiencing a significant financial loss. The rapper disclosed the unfortunate incident, where he lost a substantial amount of money, on his social media platform.
In a series of posts shared on his Snapchat account, YCee detailed how he lost a staggering sum of N2.7 million in November 2024. According to the rapper, the unauthorized transactions were initially believed to have been made using his ATM card. However, he later discovered that the money was actually stolen through a POS machine.
YCee explained that first, N1 million was taken from his account, then another N1 million was stolen, and lastly, N700.
He later discovered that the money wasn’t stolen through his ATM card as he thought but rather through a POS machine.
