Wunmi Aloba, the widow of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has taken to social media to strongly criticize popular social media critic, Verydarkman, urging him to stop interfering in her personal life and her family’s affairs.
In a fiery Instagram post, Wunmi accused Verydarkman of harassment, defamation, and spreading false narratives about her and her son, Liam. She expressed frustration over his continuous public attacks, particularly regarding her son’s paternity, and emphasized that she had chosen to remain silent out of respect for her late husband.
According to Wunmi, she has been enduring these accusations and smear campaigns for nearly two years. She stated that her silence should not be mistaken for weakness, as she was simply focused on mourning her husband with dignity.
Regarding the ongoing DNA controversy, Wunmi reaffirmed her readiness to take the test but accused Verydarkman of exploiting Mohbad’s death to gain clout and popularity. She condemned his alleged biased support for those she believes were responsible for her late husband’s suffering.
Wunmi’s message to Verydarkman
In her statement, Wunmi addressed Verydarkman directly:
“Vincent, for nearly two years, I have endured your harassment, false narratives, and repeated attempts to obstruct justice for my late husband. Despite my silence, you have continued to spread lies and cast doubts on my son Liam’s paternity.
“Let me make one thing clear: My silence is not a sign of weakness. I have chosen to grieve my husband with dignity rather than engage in social media drama. However, I refuse to let you bully me or my son anymore.
“I have repeatedly stated that I am ready for the DNA test, yet you continue to manipulate the situation for your selfish interests. It is shameful that you, who claim to seek justice, have aligned yourself with those who hurt my husband.
“You and others like you have used my husband’s tragic death for personal gain, building fame and clout off our pain. If you are so concerned about DNA tests, perhaps you should start by questioning your own paternity.
“I refuse to give you any more attention. This is my last warning. Mind your business and stay away from my family.”
