Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, has once again spoken out about the difficulties her late husband faced, which she attributes to the alleged actions of Marlian Record boss, Naira Marley, and his close associate, Sam Larry.
It is important to recall that Mohbad, whose full name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, tragically passed away in September 2023 under highly controversial and distressing circumstances. His sudden death led to a massive public outcry, with countless fans, activists, and concerned Nigerians demanding a thorough and transparent investigation into the events leading up to his demise.
During an emotional interview with renowned media personality Chude Jideonwo, Wunmi shared her deepest concerns regarding how Mohbad’s past struggles could impact their young son, Liam, as he grows up.
In her words, “Naira Marley and Sam Larry cannot deny the fact that they made life unbearable for my husband. The videos online cannot be erased, and Liam will grow up to see them. I pray he doesn’t grow up to be traumatized because he will see how his dad was beaten. Even me, it breaks me, but at this point, I am fighting for my life and my son’s life.”
She further revealed that Mohbad’s father has supported Naira Marley and Sam Larry, which she believes has hindered the quest for true justice.
“Mohbad’s dad has been on Naira Marley’s side. He is speaking for them and trying to save them. Up till now, Justice for Mohbad has not been gotten, and the justice Mohbad’s dad is looking for is different from the justice the public is looking for,” she added.
Despite ongoing legal proceedings and public pressure, Wunmi believes true justice is yet to be served.
