Controversial Nigerian social critic and activist, Verydarkman, has fired back at Wunmi, the widow of late singer Mohbad, following her public call for him to stay away from her family matters. This comes amidst ongoing accusations and counterclaims surrounding Mohbad’s tragic passing.
In a recent video posted on Instagram, Verydarkman addressed Wunmi’s allegations of defamation and harassment, questioning her past statements and actions related to the late singer’s death. He accused her of misleading the public into believing Mohbad was murdered while allegedly withholding crucial details about the circumstances surrounding his passing.
He further criticized Wunmi for her initial silence on certain aspects of Mohbad’s medical treatment, stating that her recent revelations contradicted earlier insinuations. According to him, she had given Nigerians the impression that external forces were responsible for the tragedy, while the truth, as she now claims, suggests otherwise.
The activist also revisited the controversial DNA test debate, referencing a leaked voice recording in which Mohbad allegedly expressed concerns about his safety and mentioned Wunmi in connection to it. He insisted that the recording raised serious questions and that his call for a paternity test was not baseless but rather a response to Mohbad’s own concerns.
Furthermore, Verydarkman questioned Wunmi’s decision to publicly seek financial donations for her son, Liam, while investigations into Mohbad’s death were still ongoing. He claimed that the move appeared suspicious and cast doubts on her true intentions.
In his words:
“When Mohbad d!ed, why didn’t you tell the world the exact thing that happened to him? Why did you make it seem like some people murd£red him through your posts, instead of giving Nigerians the full story from the start?
“It took you two years to say that he was injured and that a nurse treated him. If people had attacked Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Zinoleesky back then, would you now be coming out to say it was actually a nurse who injected him? You are now acting innocent, but your earlier statements suggested something different.
“Who told Instablog that Mohbad d!ed of an ear infection? I started talking about DNA because of the voice recording where Mohbad said you should be held responsible if anything happened to him. Also, you were quick to release an account number, asking Nigerians to donate for Liam while investigations were still ongoing. That alone raised eyebrows. Everything looked suspicious because even Mohbad himself accused you of cheating.”
His statements have since sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting his stance while others believe he is unnecessarily interfering in private matters.
