Controversial activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has stirred public debate and speculation by accusing the mother of late Nigerian singer Mohbad of allegedly withholding critical information about the circumstances surrounding her son’s tragic demise. This accusation has added a new layer of complexity to the ongoing quest for justice for the late artist.
VDM voiced his suspicions following Mohbad’s mother’s actions during a press conference organized to address concerns about the singer's untimely death and to seek accountability from those involved. The activist highlighted moments from the event that he believed suggested there might be undisclosed details about the situation.
During the press conference, tensions rose significantly when Nigerian actor Yomi Fabiyi accused Mohbad’s brother of allegedly demanding ₦3 million for a video purportedly showing a confrontation between the late singer and his wife. The accusation sparked a heated reaction from Mohbad’s mother, who interrupted Fabiyi, condemning his comments as an attack on her only surviving son.
Reacting to the unfolding drama, VeryDarkMan took to Instagram to express his concerns. He suggested that Mohbad’s mother might be intentionally withholding crucial details about the events that led to her son’s death. In his post, he questioned her motives and alleged a possible conspiracy.
“I dey look the whole Mohbad matter, I just dey observe… So Audra wan talk, him mama no gree, and she wants justice. The mama say na so Dem do until Dem kpai Mohbad. Who kpai Mohbad? Mama, since you know, tell us. She is definitely hiding something… What has Mama been promised?” he wrote, fueling further public speculation and debate on social media.
