During a recent episode of the Creativitea Live with Linda podcast, Veekee James openly rejected the widely held belief that secrecy ensures a long-lasting marriage. She argued against the notion that making one’s relationship public automatically makes it more vulnerable to failure, stating that discretion does not necessarily equate to longevity in a marriage.
She defended her decision to flaunt her marriage and husband Femi Atere, emphasizing that online content only reflects a small portion of real life.
“At first, when we started getting backlash on social media, people kept telling me to keep my husband off the internet because he is a quiet man. Some even said that private marriages last longer. However, I’ve seen marriages that were kept off social media and didn’t even last a month. I’ve seen things people hid that didn’t last,” she said.
