Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo, has once again publicly criticized the fan base of May Edochie, referring to them as “witches” amidst ongoing backlash she’s received for allegedly blocking May on social media. Ogbodo’s strong remarks follow mounting criticism from May’s supporters, who accuse her of being hypocritical and even attribute her store’s recent burglary to “karma” over her perceived stance on the controversial marriage of Yul Edochie to Judy Austin.
This confrontation has escalated online, with Ogbodo venting her frustration over the continued negative comments she has received. She described May’s fan community as a “toxic and bullying group” that seemingly attacks her regardless of her stance on the Edochie family matters. According to Ogbodo, May’s fans have become intolerant, targeting anyone who does not openly condemn Yul Edochie’s relationship with Judy Austin, causing division and hostility within the fan base.
Ogbodo remains firm in her viewpoint, stating that she will not allow herself to be bullied into adopting certain opinions or disrespecting her fellow industry colleagues, despite the backlash. She made it clear that she won’t submit to the online pressure and won’t let harassment shape her views. Ogbodo accuses May’s fans of encouraging a culture of bullying against those who don’t share their opinions, labeling their approach as harmful and divisive.
Ogbodo’s remarks have sparked further debate across social media, dividing users into two camps—some standing by her side, while others criticize her for her blunt responses. In a particularly charged statement, Ogbodo expressed her frustration with May’s fans, whom she described as “Blood Sucking Witches,” claiming that some of these fans may unknowingly be initiated into a “coven” through their negative behavior online. She suggested that they might be involved in something darker than they realize, stating, “The people I pity are the ignorant women who aren’t Spiritually strong being initiated daily into this Coven through their dreams but they are not aware! In their mind they are fighting a just Course but Spiritually they have being assigned and Sold their Souls to the Devil without knowing! May God help you all!”
Further expressing her outrage, Ogbodo continued, “Nah Blood Sucking Witches unah Be, Una no be God! May Fan’s my Foot! Y’all need to be called May’s Coven of Witches! Ndi Amusu!” She conveyed her exasperation with the backlash, pointing out that she’s endured this “bullying” for an extended period, claiming, “I have been quiet for too long, you are beginning to assume me Weak! You Bullied me out of May’s Page and I let you have her all to yourself yet you ain’t happy! Abeg ooo.”
Ogbodo also addressed how she’s been harassed for nearly three years, emphasizing that this situation has to end. “This rubbish has been on for about 3 years now! It has to stop! People are built individually, and they exhibit different characters! You can’t dictate my life for me; I don’t dictate yours! I make my decisions for me; you don’t! And my stance remains. I will not Dehumanize my colleagues just make you know I don’t support their decision. These are grown adults I don’t feed them! I already said on whose side I am. If you don’t believe, Rest!”
Ogbodo went on to illustrate how the fans’ behavior has escalated to an unmanageable level. “You support May; they insult you. You don’t support May; they still insult you! You support Yul; they insult you. You still don’t support Yul; they still insult you! You support Judy; they insult you. You don’t support Judy; they still insult you! Isn’t that how Witches operate? They have TURNED THE INNOCENT WOMAN’s Supporters into a Witched Coven Hideout! God have mercy!”
