Talent manager, Ubi Franklin, has publicly called out popular singer Spyro over an alleged N10.5M debt, following claims made by the artist during an interview. Spyro had accused Ubi Franklin of leveraging Davido’s name to make him perform at a birthday party and refusing to pay him afterward.
In a recent interview, Spyro expressed his dissatisfaction with Ubi Franklin, citing unresolved financial issues and accusing the talent manager of owing him money. These accusations have since sparked reactions online, with fans taking sides in the ongoing dispute.

According to Ubi, he assisted Spyro in purchasing a car and was entitled to 10% of the car’s cost, which Spyro has allegedly failed to pay despite completing payment for the car in December.
Ubi stated that Spyro owes him N10.5M, while he owes Spyro $5K. Based on his calculations, when the amounts are balanced against each other, Spyro would still owe him N2.5M, considering that $5K is equivalent to N8M in Nigeria.

And please, it’s time you all stop trying to use David’s name to make your story sweet or get people to pay attention to your story. Why would I tell Davido’s friend, who is a growing artiste, that Davido said something when I know you have direct links to him? How does this even make sense? I don’t understand this at all, and gullible people will believe it. I have never used Davido to take anything from anyone.”
He further added, “You want to use me to start your PR for the year, but it’s not me because a lot is at stake, and I won’t let you do that. Pay me my 10% from the car I helped you buy. When I told you to pay me my 10%, you said I should wait till you finish paying. I know you have finished paying since December, so kindly credit me the balance. I have $5K meant for you, and you owe me N10.5M. If we do plus and minus, you owe me N2.5M because $5K is N8M. Thank you.”
The manager concluded his response by asking Spyro to resolve the matter by paying the debt and expressed his disappointment over the public accusations.
