Toyosi Etim-Effiong, wife of popular Nollywood actor, Daniel Etim-Effiong, has responded to critics and social media users questioning her stance on her husband's on-screen romantic roles, stating that she has no issue with him kissing multiple women in movies.
A few weeks ago, fans and followers of the couple expressed concerns about Toyosi’s emotional well-being after scenes from Daniel Etim-Effiong’s latest movie surfaced online. The film featured intimate moments between Daniel and his co-star, including passionate kissing scenes, sparking debates about boundaries in acting and relationships.
The discussions escalated on social media, with some users speculating whether Toyosi felt uncomfortable or jealous about her husband portraying such romantic roles in the entertainment industry. However, Toyosi has now openly addressed the issue, shutting down all assumptions.
During an exclusive conversation on the “Transparent Talk Show,” Toyosi spoke candidly with her husband, Daniel, about the topic. She revealed that many women have approached her, asking how she truly feels about watching her husband engage in romantic scenes with other actresses.
According to Toyosi, she understands the nature of his profession and remains unfazed by such roles. She explained that as long as her husband remains committed to her in real life, she has no problem with his work. She emphasized that acting is just a profession, and the emotional connection they share in their marriage is far more significant than any scripted scene in a movie.
“A lot of people keep asking me, ‘How do you feel when your husband kisses other women in movies?’ Honestly, I feel nothing because I understand it’s all part of the job. He’s an actor, and acting involves playing different roles. At the end of the day, he knows where his home is,” she stated.
Toyosi further reassured critics and fans, saying, “You are my God-ordained husband. You can kiss as many girls as you like. I know who you come home to.”
