Afrobeat superstar, Tiwa Savage, has sparked conversations online after addressing a Wizkid FC troll who tried to undermine her latest collaboration with rising star Ruger. The incident highlights ongoing tensions between fanbases in the Nigerian music scene.
Tiwa Savage’s new track, *Toma Toma*, in collaboration with Ruger, was officially released today, November 15, 2024. To celebrate the release, Tiwa shared an energetic dance video on Instagram, showcasing her excitement for the highly anticipated song.
Captioning her post, she wrote: “No replica. Told y’all this one is special. The 🌀 @rugerofficial called and I answered. Toma Toma OUT NOW.”
While fans and followers celebrated the new release, a troll—identifying as a Wizkid FC—mocked Tiwa’s post, claiming no song could rival Wizkid’s release on the same day.
Tiwa Savage swiftly clapped back, condemning toxic fan behaviour. She stressed that fans should support their favourites without resorting to bullying or creating unnecessary rivalries.
“There’s a line between being fans and bullies. This unhealthy competition is terrible for everyone,” she stated.
The incident has sparked discussions online about stan culture and its impact on artists and their work. Meanwhile, Toma Toma is gaining traction as fans continue to praise the synergy between Tiwa and Ruger.
