Notable Nigerian singer, Timaya, recently shared an inspiring story during an interview with Naija FM 102.7. He recounted how, despite not having the financial means to purchase a Bentley at the time, he acted in faith by buying a key holder for the luxury car during Bishop David Oyedepo’s Shiloh event. According to him, this symbolic act of faith eventually paved the way for him to own the coveted vehicle.
During the interview, Timaya also delved into an unforgettable moment he had with fellow Nigerian superstar Burna Boy, Omawumi, and Waje in the studio. He narrated how Burna Boy, known for his fearless and ambitious nature, confidently declared that a day would come when he would be paid to fly on private jets. This was at a time when Nigerian artists had not yet begun traveling in private jets, making his declaration seem far-fetched to his colleagues, Omawumi and Waje.
Timaya explained that Burna Boy became upset when the two women expressed doubt about his vision, prompting him to ask them to leave the studio. Reflecting on Burna Boy’s unshakable confidence, Timaya remarked, “Nothing Burna Boy is doing now surprises me. The guy is fearless.”
He further shared his personal testimony, saying, “Before I bought my Bentley, I first buy the key holder for Shiloh. I no even get money for the Bentley oh. I just go Shiloh. I’m a Winner.”
Timaya’s account not only highlights the power of faith and vision but also sheds light on the determination and self-belief that have propelled both him and Burna Boy to success in their respective careers.
