In a recent statement, the TikToker detailed the events that led to the attack, revealing that the situation initially seemed unreal. The attacker first fired a shot into the air, and Salo said he did not immediately grasp the gravity of the threat.

The situation escalated quickly when the gunman pointed the weapon at him and fired again, hitting Salo. Initially, he thought it might have been a prank, as he could still talk and groan in pain despite the first shot.

However, the attack became more severe as the gunman fired two more shots into Salo's stomach, leaving him unable to breathe. The gunman then attempted to shoot him in the head but ran out of bullets, sparing Salo’s life.

In his account, Salo clarified that the attackers were not armed robbers but rather “hired killers” sent specifically to take his life. He expressed confusion over why he was targeted, emphasizing that he is the sole provider for his family and considers himself the “light” of his household.

Salo also questioned why other public figures, such as singer Portable and fellow TikToker DJ Chicken, were not targeted, which deepened his uncertainty about the motive behind the attack.

This traumatic incident occurred on Thursday, October 10, 2024, around the Lekki axis in Lagos State. Salo was quickly rushed to Perez Medcare Hospital in Lekki Phase 2, where he received medical attention for his injuries.

This attack follows an earlier incident in which Salo was shot and had his jewelry stolen, also in Lekki. Despite these challenges, Salo continues to question the reasoning behind these targeted attacks.
