Popular musician, Teniola Apata, better known by her stage name Teni, has explained why she prostrated to greet the well-known businessman and socialite Ibrahim Egungbohun Dende, also known as IBD Dende, on a plane.
It would be recalled that Teni faced criticism on Friday after posting a video of herself bending down to greet IBD Dende on a plane on her X account.

In response, Teni stated on Sunday morning that she was unaware of any illegal activity linked to IBD Dende. She also mentioned that the businessman had been courteous to her in 2014, before she became well-known, and that she had always held him in the highest regard.
Teni further noted that she opposes illegal activities nor criminals.
She wrote:
“MET IBD IN 2014 AND HE WAS SO GOOD TO ME, EVEN BEFORE I BLEW UP, SO WHEN I SEE HIM, ITS ALWAYS LOVE. I HONESTLY HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF ANY CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH HIM. I DO NOT SUPPORT CRIMINALS, SO LET THE LAW TAKE ITS COURSE”
