Musician Tems has reflected on her experience in a Ugandan prison in 2020 and has described it as a “blessing in disguise.”
Recall that Tems and Omah Lay were taken into custody and accused of violating COVID-19 standards by Ugandan police.
On December 12, 2020, the pair had separate performances at a concert held at Speke Resort in Kampala. Tems and Omah Lay were detained in prison after the news of their arrest went viral.

During an interview with ES Magazine, the “Damage” crooner said she was honored to have gone to prison since it humbled her.
