The President of TAMPAN (Theatre Arts and Movies Production Association of Nigeria), Bolaji Amusan, also known as Mr Latin, has shared the reasons behind the group's inability to provide assistance to sick and struggling actors in the movie industry. Despite having already spent over N10 million on health-related issues affecting actors, Mr Latin has stated that TAMPAN is always willing to extend help. In a recent interview on 32FM in Ibadan, he explained that the association cannot support certain sick and struggling members who are either not part of the association or are inactive. These actors who are ill often feel embarrassed and choose to seek help from the internet, radio, or television instead of approaching TAMPAN, knowing that they are not active members. Consequently, the association is unable to offer them assistance. Mr Latin emphasized that TAMPAN always comes to the aid of active members and that since assuming the role of TAMPAN President, they have already spent more than N10 million on addressing the health challenges faced by actors. He further clarified that those seen on radio or TV pleading for financial assistance are not active members of the association.
