Tacha Akide, a former contestant of Big Brother Naija, reportedly experienced a loss in a bet of N500K due to her stake on Nigeria's Super Falcons in a match against England. Prior to the game, Tacha had used Twitter to declare her intention of placing the N500K bet on the Super Falcons' triumph over England in the round of 16 match at the 2023 Women's World Cup.
She had expressed optimism in the victory against England in the round of 16 match at the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

However, Nigeria suffered a 4-2 penalty defeat to England after a goalless regulation and extra time at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia on Monday morning.
Taken to the same platform, Tacha lamented the loss of half a million naira in under 90 minutes.
