Rising Nollywood producer, Stanley Ontop, has publicly criticized social media commentator Verydarkman (VDM) following his call for an appearance on TVC News to clear his name after comedian Deeone accused him of mismanaging funds and being involved in a controversial intimate video. VDM had previously made a public statement accusing TVC News of bias after they granted Deeone an interview where the comedian made damaging claims against him.
VDM’s accusations included allegations of improper handling of NGO funds and an alleged intimate video with another man. After the interview aired, VDM demanded the chance to defend himself on the same platform, accusing TVC of playing a political role during the last elections and alleging their unfair treatment in this matter.
However, Stanley Ontop reacted to VDM’s demand with strong words and shared multiple videos of VDM, some of which allegedly depicted him in compromising situations. According to Stanley, these past videos contradict VDM’s current claims of innocence, further intensifying the public backlash. Stanley shared these video clips with his audience, emphasizing that VDM’s actions and confessions from previous times are in stark contrast to his present insistence on innocence.
In a viral post that quickly gained traction, Stanley Ontop blasted Verydarkman, calling him out for hypocrisy. He wrote, “Shut up your mouth! See evidence, mugu. No be you talk all these things? You don give your fellow man hand job. No way you go do that without doing ‘bend down select.’” Stanley continued, adding, “He offered you more money for massage, if he added more money, you go bend down. So stop all these things! He says he doesn’t have evidence, but you want to go to TVC for what?”
Stanley’s post drew widespread attention as he directly addressed VDM’s inconsistencies, questioning why he would attempt to clear his name when his actions from the past are documented. The producer’s comments on VDM’s alleged misdeeds quickly spread across social media platforms, fueling the controversy surrounding the incident.
