Controversial singer, Speed Darlington, has weighed in on the ongoing Lamborghini controversy involving Afrobeats superstar, Burna Boy, and popular Lagos socialite, Sophia Egbueje.
The controversy erupted after an audio recording surfaced online, allegedly featuring Sophia Egbueje lamenting about her intimate affair with Burna Boy and how he failed to fulfill his promise of gifting her a luxury Lamborghini worth 500 million naira.
Since the leaked audio went viral, the issue has sparked heated debates on social media, with many fans, entertainment figures, and online critics sharing their opinions.
Despite the mounting accusations, Burna Boy has yet to publicly address the claims, further fueling speculations and discussions about the matter.
In response to the controversy, Speed Darlington took to a live video session to criticize Burna Boy, questioning his financial claims and ridiculing the idea of him promising a Lamborghini gift.
Recalling his past criticism of Burna Boy, Speed Darlington has previously accused the Grammy-winning artist of relying on international support, specifically from American music mogul Diddy Combs, rather than achieving success solely on merit.
During his recent rant, Speed Darlington mocked Burna Boy, alleging that the singer does not own a Mercedes Benz yet claims to be in a position to gift someone a Lamborghini.
He went further to question Burna Boy’s generosity towards his inner circle, stating that while he claims to shower a woman with luxury gifts, his closest associates have never received such treatment.
“Na woman you wan give Lamborghini. All those hungry boys wey dey follow am up and down, he never give them motor,” he added mockingly.
