Darlyn Morais, a Brazilian singer, tragically passed away due to complications from a spider bite. The incident occurred on October 31 at his home in the northeastern city of Miranorte.
Morais's wife, Jhullyenny Lisboa, revealed that his 18-year-old stepdaughter was also bitten by a spider and is currently hospitalized in stable condition.
Initially, Morais experienced fatigue and observed changes in the color of the bruise on his face from the spider bite. Later in the week, allergic reactions emerged, leading to his hospitalization in Miranorte. After receiving treatment, he was discharged on Friday.
“On the same day (October 31), he felt weakness in his body and his face began to darken,” Lisboa said. “He went to the hospital and was admitted on Sunday to Palmas General Hospital.”
Morais was known for performing forró, a popular music genre in Brazil’s northeast region that combines the accordion, zabumba, and metal triangle. His small three-man band included his brother and a friend.
“He was always surrounded by friends and it was always a reason to celebrate for him,’ his cousin, Wesleya Silva, told G1.”
“Always very happy and smiling with everyone around him. Owner of a giant heart, always helping the people around him.”
