[p]Shola Ogudu, the first babymama of popular Nigerian musician Wizkid, recently treated her son Boluwatife to a shopping spree to celebrate his excellent academic performance. In a post on her Instagram page, Shola revealed that she wanted to reward her 12-year-old son for passing his exams with flying colours. She hopes that the reward will motivate him to keep up the good work in school and perform even better in subsequent exams.
Shola shared a video of Boluwatife picking out brand new sneakers at a fashion store, and the young boy looked genuinely happy to be getting new items. She described the experience as a form of "retail therapy". In her own words, "When your kid promises to come home with fantastic grades and goes ahead to do just that, it’s only right you tick some of his wishlist (It encourages them to do even better next time). Retail therapy with the coolest kid EVER".
This is not the first time Shola has celebrated her son's academic achievements on social media. In July 2022, she took to social media to celebrate as Boluwatife graduated from primary school. The proud mother shared photos of her son in his graduation suit and showered him with praises. She also thanked him for making her proud. In her words, "For making me the happiest today Boluwatifemi, God bless you for me. You made me so proud today, and I love you with all my heart. Well done Champ. P.s: Today is my Son’s Official GRADUATION DAY!!! 💃💃💃 Can’t wait to see my baby @official_tifebalogun rock his suit and graduation gown 💃💃💃 I’ve got BUTTERFLIES in my tummy Fam!☺️ #Thankful🕊."
