Ghanaian dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, has written an open letter to Nigeria’s President-Elect, Bola Tinubu, begging him to adopt him as his son. This plea comes after social media users claimed that Shatta Wale bears a striking resemblance to Tinubu. The artist took to his Twitter page to explain why he wants to be adopted, saying “Your excellency everyone says I look like you, so please come and take your son from Ghana ok lol. They always say my father won’t come for me, so please come for me so I can perform one of my songs for you. Thank you, My president. May you live long, Dad.”
Accompanied by a picture of himself and Tinubu, the tweet has gone viral on social media, with many commenting on the uncanny resemblance between the two men. It remains to be seen if Tinubu will respond to Shatta Wale’s request and adopt him as his son.
