Nollywood actor, Seun Jimoh, calls for a state of emergency as he questions the Nigerian government regarding the scarcity of food in the country.
The actor expressed on his Instagram story that, given the current food crisis, declaring a state of emergency on food production is warranted.
Seun believes that lack of arable land or war should be the only justifiable causes of famine.
He urged the government to investigate food scarcity since Nigeria is not experiencing any of these issues.
He wrote: “DEAR NIGERIANGOVERNMENT, IT’S TIME TO DELARE A STATE OF EMERGENCY ON FOOD PRODUCTION! THE ONLY TIME THERE SHOULD BE FAMINE IN THE LAND IS IF THERE IS WAR OR IF THERE IS NO ARABLE LAND !! THERE IS NO REASON WHY FOOD SHOULD BE SCARCE IN NIGERIA !”
