Rinu Oduala, Nigerian Activist, has made a bold statement, asserting that someone’s ex cannot be their best friend while they are in a relationship.
In a tweet on X, formerly known as Twitter, Rinu shared her thoughts on the issue, urging people in relationships to stop deceiving themselves when it comes to maintaining close friendships with ex-partners. She advised that it is impossible to genuinely be best friends with an ex if you’re in a committed relationship with someone else.
Rinu wrote, “Your former sex partners can’t be your current friends or even your best friends if you are in a relationship. Can we stop deceiving ourselves this year??” She went further to emphasize, “Nothing like bestie if Una don knack before.”
Rinu, who served on the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution on Police Brutality, was one of the leading voices during the EndSars protest in Nigeria, advocating for justice and social change. Her influential activism has made her a prominent figure in Nigerian society.
