Regina Daniels’ brother, Lawrence Daniels, has responded after his in-law, Ned Nwoko, denied the rumors claiming he impregnated actress, Chika Ike.
It all started when popular blogger, Gistlover, alleged that the Nigerian politician, Ned Nwoko was the father of the baby Chika Ike was carrying, and that he had plans of marrying her as his seventh wife. This sparked public speculation and stirred controversy across various media platforms.
As a result of the allegations, Regina Daniels, the wife of Ned Nwoko, took immediate action by deactivating her Instagram page just a few hours after the rumor began circulating. The sudden move raised questions and led to even more media attention surrounding the issue.
In response to these allegations, Ned Nwoko issued an official statement on Monday afternoon, 17th February, aiming to clarify the situation. In the statement, he categorically denied all claims regarding the rumored pregnancy and marriage plans with Chika Ike. He wrote:
“OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Our attention has been drawn to the recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation. Similarly, reports claiming he made statements about Tuface and polygamy are completely untrue. As a public figure and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories. However, Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions. This office remains available to journalists for verification of information, and we remind media practitioners of the consequences of spreading fake news. The public is advised to disregard these rumors and rely only on official statements from his office.”
After the statement from Ned Nwoko, Regina Daniels’ brother, Lawrence Daniels, humorously reacted to the clarification in the comment section of a post. His comment read, “Una don break gistlover face what’s this nau 🤦😂,” poking fun at the controversial blogger, Gistlover, who had initially spread the rumors.
