According to their findings, the wristwatch appeared to be a vintage model but was oddly packaged in a modern Rolex box, which does not align with standard Rolex packaging practices. This was one of the first red flags noted by the page, as genuine vintage Rolex models are typically sold in specific older boxes, not the newer versions.
The Instagram luxury page also highlighted other inconsistencies in the watch’s features, including the absence of a date lens, which is a standard characteristic in many original Rolex Datejust models. Additionally, they pointed out discrepancies in the internal lining color and noted that the gold-tone of the crown appeared shinier than what an authentic Rolex should have.
T20luxury detailed their analysis in a post, stating:
“This Rolex Datejust Two-Tone you unboxed in this video is a vintage model, so it’s not the most recent version, hence it shouldn’t come with the modern Rolex box but instead an older version box.”
“The picture is not too clear to confirm the authenticity of the dial, but one thing is conspicuous, and that’s the missing date lens.”
“Then again, the box is fake because the color of the internal lining is too imprecise, and the external material and colors are off. Finally, the crown 👑 gold color is shinier than what the original should look like.”
The allegations have quickly gained traction online, with fans and critics alike weighing in on the situation. Some social media users have defended the actress, arguing that she may have unknowingly received a fake watch. Others, however, expressed disbelief that a billionaire’s wife would allegedly flaunt a counterfeit luxury item.
