The maternal uncle of popular Nigerian singer Portable has raised concerns over a family member, Akeem, who he claims is spiritually influencing the singer’s controversial behavior.

In a recent post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man, who introduced himself as Portable’s mother’s brother, openly accused Akeem of being a major source of trouble within the family. He warned Nigerians to be cautious of him, insisting that Akeem is the root cause of many ongoing issues surrounding Portable.

According to him, Portable has always been a responsible and generous person, providing financial assistance to his family and taking care of his loved ones. He emphasized that despite Portable’s consistent generosity, Akeem continues to create problems, trying to destabilize the family.

He went further to highlight that Portable’s success has made him a target within his own household, with Akeem allegedly playing a divisive role. He stated that if Portable had not risen to stardom, Akeem would have had to fend for himself instead of depending on the singer for support.

The uncle strongly criticized Akeem’s actions, claiming that Portable has gone out of his way to assist him, including buying him a motorcycle and offering financial support. However, instead of showing gratitude, Akeem has allegedly continued to stir conflict within the family.

He stated: “I am Portable’s mother’s brother. Akeem is a bad person. Don’t listen to him—he’s a very bad person. Everyone should stay away from him.”

“If Portable wasn’t a star, wouldn’t you find a way to fend for yourself? The motorcycle you’re riding—Portable bought it for you. Hasn’t he done enough? Why are you after him?”

“What else do you want from Portable? Do you want to farm him? If you go to him, he helps and gives you money. What more do you want?”

“Nigerians, please don’t listen to Akeem. He’s a bad child. Portable gives to the family monthly. I was even asked to give him ₦200,000 last month, but because of his bad deeds, I withheld it.”

His statement comes barely 24 hours after another family member publicly accused Akeem of being the spiritual cause of Portable’s controversial behavior.

She pleaded with Nigerians to forgive the singer, emphasizing that Akeem’s influence has been negatively impacting Portable’s actions.

As the post gained traction, numerous Nigerians took to the comment section to express their thoughts and share their opinions on the matter.
