Nigerian music sensation, Portable, is set to release a brand new EP, titled “Ogo Wanted,” which is inspired by his recent legal battles and dramatic clash with the Ogun State government.
Recall that the controversial singer was recently declared wanted by the Police on multiple charges, including conspiracy, assault, and illegal possession of weapons. His legal troubles escalated after a reported altercation with law enforcement officers.
Following the declaration, Portable voluntarily surrendered himself at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) before being transferred to the Ogun State Police headquarters for further interrogation.
During his court appearance, he pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against him. However, the court granted him N20 million bail under strict conditions, including a directive barring him from making any public statements or social media posts regarding the case. His trial was subsequently adjourned until March 5.
Despite these legal battles, Portable wasted no time in returning to his music career. He recently took to Instagram to announce and share a teaser for his upcoming EP, “Ogo Wanted.”
In the teaser post, the street-hop artist boldly claimed that his earnings from music far exceed those of internet fraudsters, commonly referred to as “Yahoo boys.” He expressed confidence in his career and stated that his success is driven by divine inspiration.
Sharing the post, Portable wrote:
“OGO wanted. Music money pass Yahoo. Zeh Nation many inspiration.”
