Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has publicly pleaded for forgiveness after being declared wanted by the Ogun State government for allegedly assaulting its officials.
It would be recalled that Portable was recently declared wanted following reports that he physically attacked government officials while they were carrying out their duties in the state. This has led to a warrant for his arrest, sparking widespread reactions online.
The singer, who has been evading arrest since the incident, has now taken to social media to appeal for mercy from the government, seeking reconciliation and forgiveness for his actions.
In a video he shared online, Portable appeared remorseful as he showered praises on the government and acknowledged that he has become more humble due to the situation he is facing.
He went further to call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene on his behalf and plead with the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, to forgive him for his actions.
In his own words, he stated:
“After God, Na Government. I don dey humble. President Tinubu, help me beg Gov Dapo Abiodun to forgive me. I’m sorry.”
His plea has since stirred mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media, with some expressing support while others remain skeptical about his sincerity.
