Controversial music star, Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi alias Portable has been officially declared wanted by the Nigerian police following his alleged assault on Ogun state officials.
This comes after an incident where state officials from the town planning division were reportedly attacked and chased by the singer and his gang when they visited his area. The Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development workers were carrying out their lawful duties at the time of the attack.[/p>
The assault led to the arrest of nine associates of Portable, who were taken to court in Abeokuta for their alleged involvement in attacking officials from the Ota Zonal Planning office. While his gang members are in police custody, Portable has been evading arrest, issuing public pleas for forgiveness from the government for his actions.
As the situation escalates, the Ogun state police have officially listed Portable as a wanted person. A statement from the Ogun State Police Command, released on their official X page, reads in part: “PRESS RELEASE February 17th, 2025 PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: OGUN POLICE COMMAND DECLARES HABEEB OKIKIOLA (AKA 'PORTABLE') WANTED.”
The statement goes on to highlight the seriousness of the charges, indicating that a valid court order has been issued for Portable’s arrest and presentation at any police station. The incident took place on February 5, 2025, around 10:00 AM, during which officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development were carrying out their duties when they were attacked.
