Popular music promoter, Paulo has fired back at Nigerians criticizing Davido for his recent comments about Nigeria's economic condition. Davido had recently made headlines after an interview in which he warned African Americans planning to return to Nigeria about the tough situation in the country. He emphasized that the nation's economy, among other issues, is far from ideal, and things are not as rosy as they might appear. This sparked reactions from several politicians and Nigerians who took issue with the singer’s statements.
In response to the backlash, Paulo defended Davido, calling out those criticizing him. He pointed out that Davido was not lying about the state of the country’s economy, as it is indeed struggling, with global companies leaving and local businesses suffering considerable losses. Paulo urged Nigerians to acknowledge the truth and work towards a better future for the country. In his post, Paulo wrote:
“Please Make Una leave Davido alone mad people. Davido spoke the truth. Nigeria’s current economic state is Sooo bad. With global companies leaving and local businesses facing significant losses, it’s clear we’re facing challenges. Let’s acknowledge the reality and work towards a better future. God bless Nigeria = PaulO”
