Nigerian social media personality, Ojesanmi Afeez, popularly known as Oloba Salo, has opened up about the shocking condition he has been left with following the gunshot injury he sustained in his leg.
It is worth recalling that Oloba Salo was involved in a tragic shooting incident where unknown gunmen attacked him in Lekki, Lagos, on October 10, 2024.
Following the incident, he was immediately rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), where he received medical attention and was eventually discharged after undergoing treatment.
In response to the severity of his injury, several notable celebrities and well-wishers rallied around to support him financially. Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, revealed that huge sums of money were donated by prominent figures, including Nigerian musician Zlatan, to assist in covering Oloba Salo’s medical expenses.
In a recent development, Oloba Salo has taken to social media to share an update regarding his current health status during a live TikTok session.
During the live session, he expressed his devastation after being mocked by a social media troll over his condition.
While addressing the troll, he revealed that he is now permanently paralyzed due to the gunshot injury he sustained in the unfortunate incident.
In response to the criticism and mockery, Oloba Salo boldly stated that although he may be paralyzed, he is not wretched, citing the success of renowned Gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele, who also faced a similar fate but went on to achieve great things in life.
Meanwhile, the interviewer who was speaking with Oloba Salo during the live session reassured him that he would walk again someday.
