Nigerian actress Olayinka Solomon, also known as Ogo Mushin, has opened up about her struggle with postpartum depression, a month after giving birth to her fourth child. The actress shared her personal experience with her followers on Instagram, detailing the emotional and physical toll of her postpartum journey.
In her heartfelt post, Olayinka questioned other mothers, asking how they were affected by postpartum challenges and how they managed their experiences. She revealed some of the unexpected changes she has been facing since childbirth, particularly her emotional and mental state.
One of the significant issues she highlighted was her tendency to get easily angry over small things. She also mentioned experiencing severe memory loss, stating that she can forget conversations and moments almost immediately after they happen.
Reflecting on these changes, she wrote:
“Postpartum mom. What changed after childbirth? Mine, I get angry over little things and memory loss; we can gist now, next minute, I don’t remember.”
“What changed???? I don’t get full… I can eat now, next minute I’m hungry.”
The actress’ candid admission resonated with many, and she invited other mothers to share their own postpartum experiences, sparking a discussion about the challenges many women face during this period.
