Nigerian luxury lifestyle influencer, Ola of Lagos, finds himself in the spotlight as he addresses allegations of exaggerating the cost of a private jet after being called out by a Caucasian jet vendor.
The founder of The Jet Business, Steve Varsona, publicly criticizes Ola of Lagos in widely circulated recordings, accusing him of presenting an outdated valuation and promoting a private jet with inflated figures. The situation escalates as Varsona's criticism gains traction, bringing attention to the authenticity of Ola of Lagos's claims and sparking a public discourse on social media.
In response to these accusations, Ola of Lagos apologized and expressed his respect for Steve Varsona.
He, however, clarified that the advertisement in question was created a year ago, acknowledged the potential for misinformation, and apologized for any inaccuracies.
Ola stood his ground, emphasizing that it was the customer who determined the advertised jet’s price, not him. While acknowledging that he may not have perfected his skills at the time, he expressed his displeasure and conveyed a message to those exploiting the situation to tarnish his brand and business.
“I’ve never added one naira to anything and I always ask clients for their last price. The owner of the jet gave me the price and that was it. No be me dey determine price,” he said in part.
In his caption on the video, he added partly, “Am sorry if my info was passed wrongly. 🙏Apologies if am not able to explain this enough 🥺🙏 respect 🫡 🙌❤️ God bless y’all 🙏❤️.”
