Human rights activist, Akinola Adelabu-Soul, has penned letters to 13 embassies in Nigeria, urging them to prevent Omowunmi and Liam from leaving the country amid investigations into Mohbad's death. Titled "Urgent Request to Monitor and Prevent Departure of Mohbad's Wife and Child," the letters emphasize the need to ensure the duo remain in Nigeria pending further investigation. Adelabu-Soul asserts that the circumstances surrounding Mohbad's demise are unclear, with investigations implicating a certain nurse in his murder. He stresses the sensitivity of the case and warns that the departure of Omowunmi and Liam could compromise it. The embassies addressed include those of the United States of America, Brazil, France, Italy, Russia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, the Republic of Cyprus, Greenland, Canada, the Republic of Korea, and China. Additionally, Akinola copied the Nigerian Immigration Service and the Lagos State Police Command headquarters. However, Omowunmi's lawyer, Taiwo Olawanle, has criticized the activist's actions, arguing that there are alternative channels to address concerns. Olawanle clarifies that Omowunmi has no plans to leave Nigeria, as she is determined to seek justice for her husband. Below are images related to the incident:
