Mr Ibu‘s wife, Stella Maris Okafor calls out the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) for misleading the public by claiming to have supported her husband even before his medical condition came to light.
[/p]Following a statement released by the union addressing the allegations of abandonment and lack of support structure for their colleagues, Stella Maris Okafor refuted the claims, stating that the guild's statement was an attempt to save face and entirely untrue.
She disclosed that neither had she received any support from the Actors Guild before her husband's health challenges nor had her efforts to contact the guild yielded any positive response.
Expressing her dissatisfaction, she said, "I am not happy at all. AGN came out to talk about what they did not do. Why would they claim they've been supporting my husband from the beginning when they did nothing? I called Emeka Rollers; he didn't answer, I texted, he read the message and did not reply," in part.
Backing Mrs. Stella's assertion, VeryDarkMan, a social media critic, emphasized that the guild's lack of structure was the reason for the backlash from Nollywood stars over his earlier statement, where he questioned the guild's support system.
