Popular Yoruba actor, Monsuru Ijayegbemi, has shared a shocking experience about how he attempted to use a charm from his car to scare off some attackers who disrupted his movie set. The actor opened up about the ordeal during an interview on Feelrightnews, recounting the disturbing event that took place while he was on set with his colleague, Mr. Latin.
In the interview, Monsuru Ijayegbemi detailed some of the difficult encounters he has faced while working on a movie set. He revealed that an unknown man approached him and Mr. Latin during a film shoot and unexpectedly slapped him across the face without any provocation.
Recounting the moment, Monsuru explained that he was initially taken aback by the sudden attack. In retaliation, he decided to retrieve a charm from his car, intending to use it to frighten the attacker and other aggressors who had stormed the location.
He narrated: “I was on a movie location with Mr. Latin, to whom I was a manager at the time, and some guys came and started abusing Mr. Latin. I stepped out to confront one of them and asked why he was insulting Mr. Latin, but instead of responding, he started hurling insults at me as well.”
Monsuru continued, saying, “Then, suddenly, one of the guys walked up and slapped me right there on the movie set. Shocked by what had happened, I went to my car and brought out a charm. The charm was only meant to scare him and the others away, not to harm them. Luckily, someone from the village intervened, warning the aggressors against fighting with us. That was how the situation was de-escalated, and we were able to continue our work.”
