Swedish rapper Gaboro was reportedly shot and killed in a parking lot in Norrkoping on Thursday, December 19, as reported by Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.
A graphic video, allegedly showing the murder, has gone viral on social media, prompting widespread outrage and shock across the platform.
The 19-second clip, filmed from a first-person perspective, captures a man approaching another individual near a white SUV with a firearm in hand. The gunman fires multiple shots at close range, causing the victim to collapse as he desperately pleads, “I beg you” in Swedish. After the victim falls to the ground, the assailant fires additional shots, leaving the man motionless and lifeless.
Although authorities have not yet confirmed the authenticity of the video or its direct connection to Gaboro’s reported murder, police were alerted to the scene at 8:27 p.m. Upon arriving, they found a man in his 20s with multiple gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
While police have not officially identified the victim, a spokesperson for the police in the East region, Mats Pettersson, confirmed that the individual was known to them. He stated, “It is a man in his 20s, we know who he is and we have a good knowledge of him from before.”
Gaboro, who was gaining prominence in Sweden’s rap scene, reportedly had ties to criminal networks. His death adds to the growing list of Swedish artists who have been caught in the crossfire of the country’s escalating gang violence. The tragic incident highlights the worsening situation in Sweden, where gang-related crimes have been on the rise in recent years.
The police have continued their investigation into the murder, with efforts focused on determining the full circumstances surrounding the incident. The case has raised alarming concerns about the increasing wave of violent crime linked to gang conflicts that are rapidly engulfing Swedish society.
