Olawunmi, the wife of late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, has broken her silence on allegations of physical altercation with her husband before his passing.
It is important to recall that Mohbad tragically passed away on September 24, 2023, an event that shook Nigeria’s entertainment industry and left fans mourning.
Since his death, there have been several court hearings, police investigations, and public speculations, with many unanswered questions surrounding the circumstances of his passing. Among the numerous claims is the allegation that Mohbad and his wife had physical altercations.
However, in a recent interview with Channels TV, Olawunmi has publicly addressed and denied these allegations.
She dismissed the claims, stating that while no relationship or marriage is free from challenges, she never engaged in any physical fight with her husband.
According to her, whenever they had disagreements, she would report the issue to her father-in-law, insisting that he is now using those instances against her to push a narrative.
She also acknowledged that being married to a music artist came with its own unique struggles, adding, “We are young couples, and no relationship is perfect. I’m dating an artist, which is a lot.”
As the investigations into Mohbad’s untimely death continue, her statement has sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting her and others questioning the details of her account.
