The father of the late singer, Mohbad, Joseph Aloba, has reiterated his stance on why he would still sue his daughter-in-law, Wunmi, even if the DNA test confirms that Liam is indeed his grandson.
Joseph Aloba made this revelation during a recent interview, where he discussed his ongoing concerns regarding the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and the paternity of his grandson.
According to him, even though nearly two years have passed since his son’s demise, he still has no clear understanding of the exact cause of Mohbad’s death.
Furthermore, he expressed doubts about the paternity of the child Wunmi claims to be Mohbad’s son, insisting that a DNA test is necessary to clarify the situation.
Aloba went on to explain that, regardless of the DNA results, he still intends to take legal action against Wunmi for allegedly exposing Liam to an unsafe environment.
He accused her of taking the child, who was just five months old at the time, to social events and concerts where he was allegedly surrounded by heavy smokers.
His words, loosely translated from Yoruba, read:
“I still have no clear understanding of what led to Mohbad’s death. When my son passed, Wunmi was the first person I questioned because she was his wife. Even if the DNA test confirms that Liam is my grandson, I will still sue her. How can they be taking a five-month-old baby to events where there are heavy w33d smok3rs?
Just recently, I saw that they took him to Ibadan. I was told there was a nurse, but I didn’t see her. The DNA test is very important. My major concern now is to find out what killed Mohbad and to confirm whether or not the child he left behind is truly his. You won’t see me asking about properties.
Please, I appeal to the government to intervene because I am tired. I don’t know what else to do. For almost two years now, I still don’t have answers. My son died inside that house. Even if it was the nurse, there are cameras both inside and outside the house. What about forensic evidence? I need help, I don’t know what to do anymore.”
