Renowned Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has candidly shared the reasons behind her decision not to have children with her second husband, Kazim Adeoti.
Mercy Aigbe and Kazim Adeoti entered marital bliss after Mercy's seven-year-long marriage to her ex-husband Lanre Gentry.
In an interview with The Nation, Mercy Aigbe delved into the topic of motherhood, reflecting on the experiences of raising a teenager and a young adult. She expressed the joys and challenges of seeing her daughter, who is studying in Canada, grow into adulthood. Mercy acknowledged the blessings of aging but humorously admitted a desire to remain a "baby girl for life." She highlighted the shift in parenting dynamics, emphasizing the need for dialogue and allowing her daughter the freedom to make decisions while providing guidance.
When asked about the possibility of expanding her family through more children, Mercy Aigbe responded, "You know someone asked if I was going to have another child, and I am like no, maybe I would adopt, but for now, I don't know, and we are good and to God be the glory."
Her openness about not having biological children in her current marriage reflects a personal choice rooted in contentment and a focus on her existing family dynamics.
