Prominent video director, Mary Njoku, has expressed her frustration regarding the public backlash directed at renowned Nollywood actress, Moyo Lawal, after her private bedroom tape was leaked online.
This reaction comes shortly after the emergence of a private video featuring the actress and her partner, which sparked various responses from fans and fellow industry professionals.
In response to the leaked tape, Mary Njoku characterized Moyo Lawal as the victim in this situation. She stressed the importance of providing support to victims rather than subjecting them to blame and harassment.
Njoku used various scenarios in an Instagram post, including excuses often made on how victims could have avoided such situations.

In the caption of the post, she added, “If you have never been a victim before pray it never happens to you Nigeria. Cos you are doomed. Little wonder the culprits get away with it 90% of the time. And if we continue to victimize victims, E go touch everybody laslas Shame on us.”
