A Nigerian man has taken to social media to share his devastating experience after allegedly being scammed of a staggering $111,000 by a forex trader identified as Habbyforex.
The aggrieved investor, in a series of emotional and distressing posts made available on his page via the popular platform X, formerly known as Twitter, recounted how his life has taken a turn for the worse after trusting Habbyforex and his associate, Michael Udoh, with his hard-earned money.
According to him, what initially seemed like a golden opportunity for financial growth and stability quickly spiraled into a horrifying nightmare, leaving him in financial distress with no accountability or even a response from those responsible for his loss.
Expressing his deep pain and regret, he revealed how he has been battling emotional turmoil for the past three years due to the betrayal:
“I never imagined I’d find myself in this heartbreaking situation, waking up every single day with deep regret, replaying the moment I made the mistake of trusting the wrong people. I invested $111,000 of my hard-earned money with @Habbyforex_, thinking it was in the hands of a trusted expert, but instead, he wiped it out without a second thought. What’s even more painful? He has not even acknowledged the damage he has done. Just complete silence for three long years.”
The distressed man further disclosed that it wasn’t just Habbyforex who convinced him to make the ill-fated investment but also his associate, Michael Udoh, whom he accused of playing a major role in leading him into the scheme.
“And it wasn’t just him. His closest associate, @askmichaeludoh, also played a key role in luring me into this. He sweet-talked me into investing through Infinox, with Habby handling the trades.”
He narrated how Michael Udoh used enticing words and painted an illusion of guaranteed financial success, which ultimately led him into what he now considers the worst decision of his life.
“Michael Udoh made everything sound so perfect, just like a deceitful marketer who is only interested in draining his client. He made endless promises—assuring me of security, growth, and financial breakthroughs. But in the end, all I got was massive loss, deep betrayal, and emotional pain that words cannot even begin to describe.”
Since losing his money, the man shared how his life has been in shambles. He detailed how he has struggled with constant anxiety, sleepless nights, and an overwhelming sense of loss, all while the alleged fraudsters continue to live lavish lifestyles.
“Since this tragic experience, my life has never been the same. I can barely sleep, I am constantly anxious, and I carry the heavy burden of knowing that everything I worked for is gone. I have had to face extremely difficult conversations with my family, make sacrifices I never planned for, and deal with the mental and financial wreckage alone—all while Habby, the man responsible for this, carries on with his life, enjoying luxury as if nothing ever happened.”
He went further to express his frustration over the fake lifestyles often portrayed on social media, where people project images of success while victims like him are left to suffer in silence.
“What hurts even more is how people fake their lifestyles on social media. They post pictures and videos that make them appear successful, trustworthy, and professional, but in reality, they are nothing but scammers. They show off wealth and luxury, while people like me, who fell for their deception, are left struggling and suffering in silence.”
Determined not to stay silent, the man vowed to fight for justice, making it clear that he has all the necessary evidence to expose the fraudulent dealings of the forex trader and his associate.
“But I refuse to remain silent. I have all the evidence—the agreements, the account statements, the proof of transactions. I will not be ignored ever again.”
He then issued a direct warning to Habbyforex, making it known that he would not stop pursuing justice until the fraudster is held accountable for his actions.
“And let me be clear, Habby @Habbyforex_, you can ignore me all you want, but you will never escape accountability. I will keep fighting for my justice, no matter how long it takes.”
Providing further proof of fraudulent activities, the victim revealed how Habbyforex once took credit for a withdrawal that he (the victim) made from his own account—an act he found both insulting and deceitful.
“Imagine, this withdrawal wasn’t even made by him. It was my own withdrawal from my personal account, yet he had the audacity to use it as a way to brag about how skilled he is as a trader. That’s my account—same account number and everything—and here’s the proof of when the money dropped into my Binance wallet.”
He also recounted one of the most painful incidents of all—a day when Habbyforex suffered a staggering $62,000 loss in a single trading session, yet still had the audacity to boast about a fake withdrawal online.
“This one hurt the most. The day he lost -$62,000 in just one trading session, yet he still had the nerve to post about a fake withdrawal, making it look like he was a successful trader. How pathetic!”
Concluding his emotional rant, the victim revealed how Michael Udoh initially maintained regular contact during the early stages of the investment but disappeared completely after things went south.
“These are deposits made to @askmichaeludoh’s Infinox account. I remember Michael used to call me every weekend, checking in on me and my family. But the moment things went bad, he vanished.”
The victim’s revelation has since sparked intense discussions online, with many social media users sharing similar experiences and calling for stricter regulations in the forex trading industry to protect unsuspecting investors from fraudulent schemes.
