This controversy comes in the wake of a legal battle involving Gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, who recently filed a hefty ₦1.1 billion lawsuit against Verydarkman. The lawsuit is connected to ongoing disputes involving her former record label boss, Eezee Tee. Amid this high-profile case, the new allegations against Verydarkman have further intensified public discourse.

In a viral video, Verydarkman claimed he had financially assisted a schoolmate by transferring ₦1 million. To support his claim, he shared a WhatsApp conversation where he allegedly discussed the transaction with the recipient.

According to Verydarkman, the encounter with his schoolmate took place at a salon, where they reconnected after a long time apart.

However, the lady challenging his claim pointed out inconsistencies in the transaction evidence. She highlighted that their conversation on WhatsApp was initiated on February 3rd, 2025, yet the bank transaction receipt displayed a transfer dated the previous day, February 2nd, 2025. This discrepancy has raised suspicions among critics and fueled debates regarding the authenticity of the transaction.

In a bid to escalate the issue, the lady called for the intervention of Verydarkman’s well-known rivals, including popular media personalities Nedu Wazobia and Deeone, urging them to scrutinize the matter further.

As expected, the allegations have triggered mixed reactions online, with social media users divided on the issue. While some believe Verydarkman might have made an honest mistake, others suspect foul play and are demanding a proper explanation from him.

Check out some reactions from netizens below:

Eze Baller remarked: “E don leak again 🤣🤣.”

Mr. Common Sense wrote: “I think he may have mixed up the receipts and mistakenly highlighted a different transaction in his video.”

Pesco commented: “Verydarkman na content creator, same with GehGeh.”

Khalifa stated: “Instead of checking people’s transactions, use your time wisely for something productive.”

Chef Dera noted: “Verydarkman is not even in Nigeria at the moment, so this could just be a case of time zone difference. Mumu people 🙄.”

At the time of this report, Verydarkman is yet to respond to the allegations, leaving many eagerly awaiting his reaction.
