Lady has come forward with new allegations against popular socialite Egungun of Lagos, claiming that he once invited her to meet him at a hotel, offering an introduction to renowned Nigerian singer Zlatan as part of the deal. This revelation comes amid an ongoing controversy following a leaked video allegedly showing Egungun in a compromising situation, fueling rumors of infidelity and triggering a cheating scandal.
Earlier, Egungun’s wife took to social media to express her distress, revealing that someone had been blackmailing her husband with the explicit tape that surfaced online. The leaked video quickly became the center of attention, adding to the mounting pressure surrounding Egungun’s personal life.
The woman, identified as @theboujeegirlie on X (formerly Twitter), shared her story on the platform, claiming that Egungun had approached her back in 2020, when they were both at the University of Lagos. She stated that he invited her to meet him at a hotel in Surulere, promising to introduce her to Zlatan, after the rapper had previously given him a promotional shout-out while he was dressed in his masquerade costume. According to her, the encounter was meant to be part of a music career-related opportunity she was pursuing at the time.
The lady further explained that this offer took place after they had shot a viral video together, which had boosted her visibility and garnered some attention for her budding music career. In her post, she recalls: “Egungun of Lagos wey tell me make I come hotel for Surulere say he wan introduce me to Zlatan??? God will punish that boy sehh 😂😂😂😂.” She clarified that at the time, she had been actively working on her music and had formed an acquaintance with Egungun after their viral video together. However, the offer to meet at a hotel in Surulere seemed out of place.
She continued by adding, “For context: We were in Unilag together and this happened 2020 after Zlatan had just promoted him in his masquerade costume. He came to my hostel on my birthday and we even had a viral video together lmaoo.” She recalled the incident humorously but also with a touch of disbelief at what was being asked of her.
The lady also responded to comments from other users, including one from @Kelvdunski, who noted: “At a hotel, not a hotel room. I don’t know how ow how you guys Thinks things oo.” In her response, she clarified that Egungun had provided her with an actual room number, making the situation even more questionable. She wrote: “Person wey give me room number????Lmaooooo let’s just let bygones be bygones. 2020 is a long time ago 💀💀.”
