[p]Nollywood actor Junior Pope has revealed a vow he made with God that if he ever hit his wife, Jennifer Awele, he would run mad. This comes after the actor was questioned about the challenges and lessons he has learned in his many years of marriage with his wife.
Junior Pope shared that their marriage wasn't easy in the first year and that he even borrowed money using his wife's gold jewelry. He thanked God for giving him a patient wife and stated that he would never hit his wife.
He said, "Why would I want to touch a woman like this? God forbid. One thing I told myself and God is that the day I lay my hands on my wife, let me run mad. Instead, I walk away".
Junior Pope also shared that his father taught him discipline growing up, but he adds a playful side to his parenting style that his father did not have. He emphasized the importance of balancing fame and being a family man, stating that celebrities need to remain humble and grounded to maintain a healthy home life.
