British singer Jorja Smith shared insights into her collaboration with Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy.
Jorja Smith expressed admiration for Burna Boy's artistry, describing the experience of working in his studio as remarkable.
She emphasized the uniqueness of Burna Boy’s creative process, noting that it was "sick" how he freestyles instead of writing his songs. According to her, Burna Boy continually freestyles in the studio until the lyrics take shape.
“Working with Burna Boy is sick. He was just freestyling whatever was coming to him over and over again until it made sense,” she shared.
It's worth noting that Burna Boy and Jorja Smith had previously collaborated on the hits “Be Honest” and “Gum Body” from Burna Boy’s 2019 album “African Giant.”
A few months ago, German musicians traveled to Nigeria in search of a collaboration with Burna Boy and visited the singer's studio in Lagos.
