Superstar musician, Joeboy, has touched the hearts of many by extending a helping hand to Unilag students who are facing financial challenges due to the significant increase in their school fees.
A few months ago, the students of the University had taken to the streets in protest against the exorbitant hike in school fees. Despite their pleas for a reduction, the school management remained steadfast in implementing the new pricing.
However, Joeboy, who is an alumnus of Unilag, harks back to his own days at the institution when the fees were a mere 20,000 Naira. In response to the current plight of students facing fees exceeding 100,000 Naira, Joeboy has made a heartfelt commitment to assist those with financial difficulties.
In his own words:
“Unilag school fees during my time was 20k, and a lot of people were still struggling to pay. I can’t imagine how hard it is for students now that it’s over 100k.
