APC chieftain, Joe Igbokwe has issued a statement asking singer Davido to retract his comment about the Nigerian economy being in shambles, after the singer made the remark while in America. The call for a retraction came after Davido, a popular artist and DMW executive, had warned Africans, particularly Nigerians, who are contemplating leaving America to return to Nigeria. He pointed out the state of the Nigerian economy as one of the reasons why things may not be as favorable back in the country.

In response to this statement, Joe Igbokwe, a strong member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed his disappointment over Davido’s remarks. He emphasized that Nigeria had contributed significantly to the singer’s success, suggesting that the country made Davido who he is today. He therefore advised Davido to reconsider his statement and retract it immediately.
