Isreal DMW, the personal logistics manager of Nigerian singer Davido, has criticized rapper Yung6ix for excluding Davido from the list of afrobeats pioneers. Isreal took to his Instagram story to remind Yung6ix that it is never good to be ungrateful. Yung6ix had mentioned himself, Wizkid, and Olamide as the pioneers who paved the way for other young singers in the industry, without including Davido, who had previously named himself and Wizkid as pioneers. Isreal expressed his love for Davido but emphasized that Wizkid, Olamide, and Yung6ix were the youngins of that time. Isreal further highlighted that Yung6ix seemed unappreciative as he ignored Davido's influence, forgetting that Yung6ix became famous through his feature in Davido's song. Isreal recalled how Davido freely featured in Yung6ix's remix and urged Yung6ix not to be ungrateful in life.
In his words;
“David, David. How many times I called your name?
You know I got nothing but love for you, my boy. But let’s get it straight. It was Wizkid, Olamide and Young6ix before it was you. We were the youngins of that time.
You want to skip me from the legacy?”
According to Isreal, Yung6ix was unappreciative because he ignored Davido and forgot that he became famous through his influence when he featured in his song.
He wrote;
“My dear, Delta brother 6ix 💕still remember, how oga made you blown in ur music carer, by featuring in ur let me know remix freely, after much pleadings.It is never good to be ungrateful in dis life brother.One love❤️”
